Sammo Hung e-mail!!!??? Yup the big man himself has seen my little webpage!!
In a e-mail from his Hollywood producer I was told that Sammo smiled when
he saw this page!!! I am speechless now......
A few years back I stumbled
into a local video store that I hadn't been to in months. As I was perusing
the martial arts movie section I was happy to spot several Jackie Chan
films that were not available on US video, closer inspection showed that
these were Pal (foreign video format) dubbed videos. Such titles as
PROJECT 
A
and MY LUCKY STARS jumped off the shelf at me, I was indeed
happy. At the time my Hong Kong film exposure was relegated to John Woo
and the whole "heroic bloodshed" (i.e. violent gunplay films)
genre. So I of course rented these babies and that was what made me a Jackie
Chan and Sammo Hung fan. A short while later I found DRAGONS FOREVER,
and that is what cemented my love of Sammo Hung films. I was in awe
at this rotund man who could move so incredibly. This film, is the best
of the "3 Brothers" movies in terms of Sammo's involvement, he
really gets to showcase his talent at both acting and martial arts, although
the ending was a bit of a let down, since Sammo was not involved in the
films incredible slam bang conclusion.
So here she is, what might be
the first website totally devoted to Sammo Hung. If anyone knows different
please let me know, as I would like to have a Sammo links page. Also if
anyone has Sammo pictures they can e-mail me, I would greatly appreciate
it. I will credit anyone who does so, if they would like.
Do you have a review of a Sammo movie? If
so, please send them in, and I'll include them in the site. Even reviews
of titles we have already reviewed, I would like different opinions on
the same titles.
